Q: How do I load money to my KoraCard*?
A: There are three ways to load money onto your card:
- KoraCash — Any loaned funds are automatically applied to a balance on your KoraCard, unless you specifically selected another bank account in the checkout process.
- Bank transfer — Load funds from your personal bank account using your account and routing number.
- Direct deposit — Your KoraCard generates a unique account number that can be used to direct deposit funds from your employer.
Q: Can I deposit a check?
A: Nope. KoraCard does not yet support this feature.
Q: What happens if my card info is stolen?
A: Change your KoraCard information in Settings. The app will generate a new card number and stop the old card's functionality.
Note: When you change your card number, any accounts or apps tied to the previous number will no longer access your KoraCard funds. Be mindful of updating impacted accounts and apps.
Q: How to I qualify for KoraCard?
A: You must be 18+ years of age and enrolled in college or a university.
Q: How do I deactivate my card?
A: Transfer any balance remaining on your KoraCard then deactivate in Settings.
Note: You will not be able to deactivate your card until you have transferred remaining funds.
Q: What happens if I make a transaction that exceeds my account balance?
A: The transaction will be declined. Kora does not offer overdraft potection.
Q: Can I use my KoraCard outside of the United States?
A: Yes. The KoraCard can be used anywhere virtual Visa cards are accepted.
Q: When will my debit card arrive?
A: There is no physical card. KoraCard is an entirely virtual card experience.
Q: Is my card a contactless card?
A: KoraCard does not yet support contactless payment.
