In the event you believe your KoraCard* has been compromised, there are two methods you can use to protect your account: freeze your card or deactivate your card. Before making any changes, be sure to review the best use for both of these methods.
Freeze/Unfreeze KoraCard
Freezing your account simply locks your KoraCard until you manually unlock your card again for use. This method preserves your card information (card number and security code). To freeze your card:
- Go to the app and click on the Card tab
- Click on KoraCard Settings
- Click on Card Status
- Using the toggle button, you can freeze or unfreeze your card
- Note: "Your card status" should update to reflect your cards current status
Deactivating KoraCard
Card deactivation effectively deletes your existing card number and security code. While customers are able to reactivate their card after deactivation, this will change your card and security number. What that means is that you'll need to update your card information with any app you've connected your card to - not the worst thing, but it could be tedious! To deactivate your card:
- Go to the app and click on the Card tab
- Click on KoraCard Settings
- Click on Card Status
- Click on Deactivate Card
- On the next screen, choose Deactivate Card
